Cole Forrester highlighted the Thursday wrestling match against Waynesboro by winning his 100th career match, but it wasn’t enough for the Greyhounds as they dropped a 45-32 decision to the Indians.

“I’m really excited for hitting this milestone. It ‘s a big confidence booster heading towards the end of the season. It’s a big testament to the amount of time I’ve put in” he told the Sentinel over Twitter direct message.

The loss drops the Greyhounds to 3-2 in the Colonial Division and 3-2 overall. the loss enabled Boiling Springs to clinch a share of the title and a chance to win it outright next week.

Waynesboro took a quick 11-0 lead on a tech fall by Bryan Layman and  a fall by Matt McCann at 126 and 132. Ian Reed stopped the run with an 8-3 decision but the Indians proceeded to pick up three pins and a forfeit to take a 35-3 lead.

Aaron Rauber, Colton Musser and Forrester each picked up a fall to get the Greyhounds back within 35-21.

Waynesboro picked up their final two wins at 285 and 106 with a major decision and a fall.

Jeffrey Russell and Dylan Ramsey added a fall and a tech fall in the final two matches for the ‘Hounds.
